Captain Kirk Motorcyclist UPDATE

Look what someone got tattooed on themselves! This was the brother (or brother in-law?) of the guy I did the caricature for. I mean the tattoo artist changed some stuff around that buts alright...I actually have someone out there with something I drew on their skin! Enjoy!

Get away...!

Guess what? It's another t-shirt design for threadless! However I actually like it more as just a regular caricature. Where did I wear this pretty cool design? At the Prometheus midnight showing of course! I'm going to be adding the threadless link below so lets see how this t-shirt will do.

Haven't heard anything from the Richter shirt but we'll see. So enjoy!

Kirk Caricature

Hello!
Hope everyone is doing well. I just finished doing this caricature for a bike-racing-guy (probably am butchering the title). This was actually a pretty cool project because when I usually do caricatures I show the face more rather then the overall body. For this project I got to focus alot more on the objects for the character and let me tell you...it was quite a bit of sketches for the bike and angle to get it right.
If you haven't already noticed there is a Star Trek theme to this drawing. He was going to be a scottish man with a kilt but decided to go with the Captain kirk feel. It doesn't have the true Star Trek colors but I tried to add some themes into there. Well enjoy!

Yay, some Art!

Hello All!

You know I make promises that I'll post weekly on here then well...you know...but I have something now!

I actually entered a shirt design contest at Shirt Woot and though I submitted the shirt a bit late in the contest I am currently in the top 60 or so place! I'm actually really excited by this since it was my first entry and I managed to get some votes. Next theme I'm going to start early and see where I get with the early start. You can see the design above which was board game themed and if you want to check out the other designs or even say, vote for mine (you have to have purchased something from the site in order to vote, sorry):

Vote for me!

The other was a caricature I did for someone at work awhile ago. I didn't want to post it up now cause she hadn't received it yet but she has already seen it now! I may have made her arms and body a bit too big so I was able to shrink down the size to make it look like her. Well enjoy! Antastic

Sketches 06/14/11 ( Yes I Know!)

I know right! I haven't posted sketches on here in such a long time so this will be a treat for everyone! First page is sketches for a robot, probably for a future idea of some kind. The second one is sketches of knights! I actually want to explore more genres and draw different people, places, time periods, and so on. The last one is of Kid Cudi...many different versions of kid cudi. Well I'll just leave you all to look and scowl.

More zombies and the Tordo...

Thought I post some artwork...

The zombie design was something I did last month for "The Boonies", good news for that story though! There is a AWESOME new add on with the story that I think will really make this concept far beyond what I had dreamed it would be. The second drawing is a caricature of my Uncle Roly that I did for him last year for his birthday. I had totally forgotten that I drew this and was looking thru my design folder and found it! So I thought I just throw it on here to give you all some eye candy to look at.

On a side note I found out that this weekend Zombie Breakout was placed in Apple's "New and Noteworthy" for Germany! All very exciting news for everyone involved in the project and glad people in Germany like themselves some zombie crushing. Until next time!

Good news everyone!

I think I have stepped up my illustration game and will be using Illustrator more to create some of my artwork. Why? Because I can! I just have grown a fondness to using illustrator these last couple of months for some of my recent work and not going to lie...it looks pretty good.

So here is a caricature I did entirely in illustrator for someone that is retiring at one of the studios I work at. Sketched it out and did everything in illustrator.

...also...

stay tuned for a BIG notice for a project I have been working on that will hopefully be released sometime next week.

Antastic, out!

I drew this last night for my sister who is going to use it in one of her classes.

I'm assuming its for a history class and not an art class...

Yeah...I know... (SORRY I WROTE TOO MUCH)

So I am reading this book about young entrepreneur's and how they all have made very successful business and I was reading one of them that had said roughly "having a blog or youtube page isn't going to get alot of traffic if you don't update it on a regular basis."

Yeah....I've been kind of bad at that. I could say I have a good excuse but I don't. I actually have lots of stuff to share and its both animation and design work. I've been doing lots of animation work like Motion Graphics, titling, and even Flash Animation. Currently I'm working on a iPod game, doing some design work and creating animations. When its all finished I'll put what I have done up here and give you a link to my website so you can view the cools animation on a Flash file I am going to make for them.

And if those of you that didn't know or I never even mention it, this month will be my 7 month working at a Pacific Communications in Costa Mesa, yay! I do motion graphics, animation, and video and sound editing there for lots of medical products. Anyway, I actually had the opportunity to do some illustration work there! I did some illustrations/caricatures of some of the companies higher ups. So I have attached......actual art. Note that the tug boat guy is not my full design. What I had done was take a stock image given to me (the boat, character, water), switch the head out for the person I did the caricature of, edited the image, cutting out the boat and water, doing some color changes, and BAM! you have what you see below. Then I have two versions of the same drawing, one is holding a martini and the other some type of non-alcholoic beverage. I want to give a close up of the hand cause I think that was my most favorite part to draw.

To be honest I hadn't drawn in a while and these were the first fully rendered drawings I had done in months. They have there ups and downs but I'm really glad I was able to draw. Hopefully I will be able to post more drawings in the next couple weeks (some of my own and some of actual work), however, if I don't I do actually have lots of old drawings I never posted online that I might put up, mostly as a filler and for me to type.

Ok I've talk to long, hope you enjoy and for those who read this blog (or did) feel free to shoot me a message any time to talk or say something and for your future clients of mine out there......I vary much appreciate you taking your time to view my collection work and glad you have stumbled upon the thoughts and visuals of Anthony Garcia.
